WINTER 2010/11Winter happenings...

CBH kicked off the season by opening the uber-popular Pinkberry on Newbury Street. The tarty icon from LA opened its first Boston location and we hosted an over-the-top grand opening with over 250 in attendance --from local celebrities and VIP's to Pinkberry's CEO Ron Graves.

Pinkberry was not the only recent sweet opening -- CBH unveiled the new Sugar Heaven, Boston's largest candy store. A literal 'kid in a candy shop' experience, the Back Bay location boasts over 15,000 types of candy. The new Boylston Street shop joins the other locations in Legacy Place in Dedham, Montreal and Miami.

On the restaurant front, CBH Communications launched Deuxave, Restaurant & Bar, one on Boston's hottest restaurant openings this year. Located on Commonwealth and Massachusetts Avenues (hence the name), Chef Owner Chris Coombs and Co-Owner Brian Piccini (dbar) have already received praise from press and patrons alike. With rave reviews from both The Boston Globe and The Boston Herald, Deuxave has not only become the neighborhood restaurant for Boston's Back Bay, it has become a destination from foodies all over New England.

On the retail front, CBH opened skoah, the first U.S. outpost of the widely-popular Vancouver-based skin-care brand in Boston's South End. The skoah philosophy is based on the premise of "personal training for the skin;" just like the body, the skin needs regular workouts to stay healthy and look its best.

Also this fall, CBH opened Newbury 211, where top Israeli fashion and jewelry designers brought their unique design aesthetic to Boston's Back Bay. In addition, CBH worked on Boston's Fashion Week in several capacities, including being on the host committee for the kickoff party at Boston's Liberty Hotel.

FALL 2009Fall happenings...

This past fall CBH kicked off the season with a very special Malbec Wine Event at the Boston Harbor Hotel, featuring twenty-five wine makers from the Cahors region of France -- most had never been imported into the US.

On the restaurant front CBH was instrumental in re-branding Banq Restaurant into Ginger Park. CBH was involved in all aspects of this transformation; from naming the restaurant to creating the logo as well as helping bring Chef Patricia Yeo to Boston. CBH also kicked off Where to Eat's 10-Year Celebration year-long anniversary dinner series at Radius.

CBH continues to work with the local movie industry and had the opportunity to secure a key scene that was shot at one of our restaurants for the upcoming Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz movie.

On the retail front, CBH worked on Boston's Fashion Week in several capacities, including hosting successful events at both LaPerla and the MIZU salon in the Mandarin Oriental. CBH threw fantastic opening events for some of the top new retail spaces in the Back Bay, first at Christofle Paris and most recently, CBH opened and introduced Ted Baker, the London-based boutique, to Boston. CBH brought together an incredible mix for cocktail chatter such as a soccer star Taylor Twellman and Boston Ballet principal, Kathleen Breen Combes, to politicians and Boston's movers & shakers.

SUMMER 2009Summer happenings...

This past Spring, CBH Communications worked overtime to make sure our clients were getting the maximum attention possible. We hosted Tim Zagat and the Boston launch of the 2009/10 popular restaurant guide. Then CBH worked with UNICEF to honor Rwandan President Kagame and his wife at the organization's annual Children's Championship Awards Ceremony. To kick off the summer and the restaurant's fantastic patio, CBH teamed up with FB (the Boston Globe's Fashion Boston) to host a launch party for the publication's newest edition at Gaslight- which was also featured in the issue. In June, Chris Haynes preformed his first Saber with a bottle of Perrier Jouet at the opening of Christofle at Heritage on the Garden. However, the cherry on top this Spring was CBH hosting a one year anniversary party at banQ with the London- based international design magazine Wallpaper in attendance, which introduced the Wallpaper editors to how fantastic the city of Boston is!

MARCH 2009Spring is in the air...

Spring is in the air and CBH's clients are in the ink. In the past couple of months we have placed clients in prominent media outlets such as CNN, Newsweek, Wallpaper Magazine, Inside Edition, The Christian Science Monitor, Arrive magazine and many more. See how CBH Communications can get your company some well deserved attention as well.

SEPT 2008Celebrating 10 years!

WINTER 2011/12Recent happenings...

This past season CBH had the opportunity to work with one of the world's largest brands, Coca-Cola. For the first time in Coke's history they turned their iconic red cans white in partnership with the World Wildlife Foundation to draw attention to the plight of the polar bears, Coke's mascot since 1922.

We are also pleased to have broken ground and 'swirled' into Connecticut with the opening of Pinkberry in West Harford. We hosted an opening event with over 400 friends, including the Mayor. We at CBH also recently opened a Pinkberry in Wellesley and be sure to watch out for a new Pinkberry opening in the South Shore's Braintree.

CBH is overwhelmingly proud that nine of our clients received coveted "Best of Boston" awards from Boston Magazine this year. Our restaurants and retail clients continue to inspire and impress us and the wider Boston community. They tirelessly strive to reach the next level all-the-while keeping a sharp focus on how people are dining and shopping in today's economy.

On the restaurant front we opened El Centro, an authentic Mexican restaurant in the South End which earned rave reviews right out of the starting gate. We promoted Chef/Owner Joe Cassineli of Posto Pizzeria in Davis Square who became Boston's first certified Neapolitan pizzeria by the "Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana" out of Naples, Italy. We also enjoyed promoting Sara Ross of Kickass Cupcakes who finally got her beloved cupcake truck and a deal with Whole Foods Market to sell her cupcakes.

We are pleased to work with Chris Coombs, Chef/Owner of Deuxave who was nominated one of Food & Wine's "Best New Chefs in America" 2011. We are also looking forward to the opening of the new (as of yet unnamed) Aquitaine Group restaurant to be located at 500 Harrison Ave (former Rocca space) in the spring of 2012.

This fall also brought in a new account manager to the team at CBH Communications, and we have had a good time re-introducing Alessandra Pollina to clients and media. Alessandra had interned over her years at Boston University and earned her position. She was quickly incorporated into the office and is now an integral part of CBH.
